Tri-County Community Action Program welcomes new Dentist
Tamworth Dental Center and Clinical Services Division Director, Christina Ferraro, is pleased to welcome Tej A. Shah, D.M.D, to the dental team at Tamworth Dental Center.
The Tamworth Dental Center (TDC) is a Tri-County Community Action Program that provides high quality essential dental care to over 2,500 people from Carroll, Coös, Grafton, and Belknap Counties. The goal of the TDC is to improve oral health care in the communities served by Tri-County CAP by providing high quality, affordable dental services in a safe and pleasant environment.
About Dr. Shah 
Born and raised in New Hampshire, Dr. Shah is proficient in all facets of restorative and preventive dental care. He earned his Bachelors degree at Carnegie Mellon University. He also earned his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (D.M.D.) from Tufts School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Shah was recognized in 2016 for the Raj & Prem Goyal Young Physician Award. He is now accepting new patients at TDC.
“’Preventistry’ is the best kind of dentistry,” said Dr. Shah. “Helping patients help themselves not only can save a trip to the dentist, but it can also improve the oral health of the overall community. I am very pleased to join Tamworth Dental Center as the primary dental provider.”

According to Practice Manager Christina Ferraro, who also attended Tufts School of Dental Medicine, “Our reduced fee services through the Dental Clinic and our School Smiles classroom-based dental program may be the only option for quality dental care for those in our area with Medicaid and Medicare.”
Ferraro took over management of the practice in January of this year. “TDC is a full-service dental facility that accepts most forms of private insurance, as well as NH and Maine Medicaid and Medicare. The entire dental team is committed to ensuring that TDC is a friendly, family-centered practice that serves the community with a full range of restorative and preventative services,” she commented.

His credentials and skills are impeccable, and his friendly demeanor is a perfect fit for our practice and the people we serve.”
In addition to most major adult and family dental insurance plans, the Tamworth Dental Center also accepts Care Credit time payment plans. They offer reduced rate services to low-income individuals without insurance. TDC also offers other dental health reduced cost programs such. Including the Ryan White program, New Hampshire Employment program, Senior Care programs, and programs for Veterans.
