NOFA-NH & Brookford Farm to Host Farm to Pizza Party Celebrating 50 Years of Organic Farming in New Hampshire
Concord, NH, September 12, 2022
The Northeast Organic Farming Association of New Hampshire (NOFA-NH) is celebrating its 50th anniversary! Established in 1971, NOFA-NH is a founding member of the Northeast Organic Farming Association (NOFA) and represents a diverse group of organic food and farming stakeholders, including farmers, gardeners, land care providers, consumers, educators, environmentalists, and more.
After a successful 50th anniversary farm to table dinner and fundraiser held at Colby Hill Inn on August 27, 2022, NOFA-NH is hosting one more event to commemorate their golden anniversary: a family-friendly pizza party with live music and a farm tour at Brookford Farm on October 1, 2022.
Brookford Farm Pizza Party, Live Music & Farm Tour
Canterbury, NH – Saturday, October 1st, 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Celebrate 50 years of NOFA-NH and 10 years of Brookford Farm at their Canterbury location with a Saturday afternoon of family fun at an outdoor pizza party, complete with live music, educational activities, a farm tour, exhibitor fair, raffle prizes, and more! Attendees will feast on house made, brick oven pizzas and sides loaded with farm fresh, organic ingredients, and learn more about this diversified organic farm during an optional walking tour.
Warner based Folkgrass/Rock band the DoBros is slated to perform at the event. Kids of all ages will enjoy a hay maze, seed bomb making, apple cider pressing, soil microscopy demos, and more fun, nature-based activities sure to ignite excitement around environmentalism and food!
Attendees can learn about the many movers and shakers of the local, organic, and sustainable food system movement of the Granite State and beyond at the celebration’s exhibitor fair, which will include tents from Seacoast NH Permaculture, NH Farm to School, NH Food Alliance, League of Conservation Voters, NH Audubon, Merrimack County Conservation District, Found Well Farm, NH Agrarian Commons, & BCM Environmental & Land Law, PLLC.
