LRH Hosts Wellness Fair
First Annual Spring Wellness Fair Event
Littleton Regional Healthcare held its first annual LRH Spring Wellness Fair on April 11, 2019. More than 150 people attended the event at LRH to receive free skin cancer screenings, health screenings, and Reiki treatments. They met more than 40 area agencies and businesses who participated in the event at no cost.
LRH offers a fall wellness fair in October. They will now offer a spring wellness fair in April to continue to provide free healthcare for the region. This year LRH received a grant from the DHMC and CHAD Injury Prevention Program of 40 children’s bike helmets.
Families were encouraged to attend with their children. They received a free bike safety check provided by Executive Director, Thomas Shovlin and volunteer Marc Micciche from Adaptive Sports Partners of the North Country.
Chief Paul Smith of Littleton Police Department was present to provide safety information for the families who participated. More than 20 helmets were given out at the event. LRH plans to share the remaining helmets with pediatric patients presenting in the emergency department or at North Country Pediatrics.
