LRH Hosts Teddy Bear Clinic
Natalie Kennett, MSN, RN, CNL, PCCN, is a Clinical Director of Critical Care Services at Littleton Regional Hospital. Dr. Kennett enjoys offering families with children a Teddy Bear Clinic in LRH’s Emergency Department.
LRH Teddy Bear clinics help decrease fear of doctors and the hospital environment. It also teaches children healthy habits at a young age. Young visitors go home with a better understanding of how doctors may take their temperature, listen to their heart, look inside their ears, and more. All of which may be included in an emergency exam or a trip to the doctor.
Their goal is for young children to feel good about going to the doctor. As well as visiting the hospital and taking good care of themselves.
Anyone interested in scheduling a Teddy Bear Clinic at Littleton Regional Healthcare should call the Marketing & Community Relations Department at 603.444.9304.
