Hospital hosting Health Career students
“Health Careers Institute at Dartmouth” Students join LRH
Littleton Regional Healthcare is hosting three groups of students from the Health Careers Institute at Dartmouth this summer. This Institute provides students from New Hampshire and beyond entering grades 10, 11, and 12 with opportunities to explore health careers. This year, program developers incorporated a rural day at LRH into the week-long curriculum. The students learned about all aspects of pharmacy services. They toured the clinical laboratory.
The students gained a perspective on rural population health. In addition, they heard about the risks in search and rescue in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Students also learned how first responders involved in rescues interface with hospitals. LRH pointed out the different challenges in health care between rural vs. resource-rich areas.

Unfortunately, times get difficult when critical components within our work flow need servicing. This is one of those times. Currently our playback server is aged beyond repair. If it fails, the station will go dark. We need to replace this expensive component before we loose our ability to broadcast. You can read more about our mission on our GoFundMe page. Take a moment, if you could, and help us to continue to serve our community with our news, and coverage.
