Channel 2 on Main Street
Station establishes studio and office space in Littleton, NH.
As LATV continues to expand its capabilities and opportunities for the North Country, a home outside of the Littleton High school has been established. Suite #204 within the flex office space at 33 Main Street in Littleton is now the second home for the station. The current studio space within the High School is still available for larger productions, however, this new space is available to serve the community as a Main Street location. The new space, which is roughly 250 square feet in size, allows the station to conduct business in a private, dedicated space.
Established as a business location, the room will enable the station staff to service the needs of patrons and citizens alike. The marketing and station’s broadcast scheduling will be handled out of the 33 Main location. Along with general business duties, the space also has room for a small recording facility. Though currently still within the development process, Station Manager/Director Chad Fillion says that the space has “…just enough room for a few cameras, lights and a nice set. The space would be perfect for potential community interviews with department heads on a rotating basis. It also could be used for a smaller interview segment with local business owners, citizens and special guests.” When asked about the proximity to Congresswoman Annie Kuster’s North Country office being just two doors down at this new location, he replies with a smile “It does lend itself to a nice opportunity, doesn’t it?”
Patrons, Support and Streaming
Fillion has reached out to local businesses about possible partnerships with LATV. The station is seeking help to cover the set up requirements to establish the new space. Keen on the barter model, he has had discussions with a few businesses about equipment, supplies, furnishings and other pertinent components. Most notable is the opportunity for recording in the space directly beneath the station; The Loading Dock. The proximity to the performance space lends to natural partnership in coverage of local music performances and other artistic event.
With the help of Jason Tors, The Loading Dock’s proprietor, March 17th saw their first live-stream event. Together with Tors, Fillion and LATV provided a 3 camera, live edited broadcast of the performance via the TLD Facebook page. Local NH favorites Mad Cat Habitat were the St Patrick’s Day headliner, with Shatterbox opening the evening up.
Studio business hours
The new studio and business location is scheduled to be open to the public Tuesday through Friday. Office hours are currently from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. To schedule an appointment, pitch a show idea, or just discuss the station’s new adventures, reach out through the contact page. Walk-ins, of course, are always welcome.
