LRH Auxiliary Hosts Dining for a Cause Event at 99 Restaurant
The Littleton Regional Healthcare Auxiliary is planning its annual Dining for a Cause event at the 99 Restaurant on Meadow Street in Littleton, NH. The event will be held on Tuesday, March 20th from 5 pm – 8 pm. Dining for a cause is a charitable program managed by the Ninety Nine Restaurants which allows local organizations the opportunity to host a fundraiser night at one of their participating restaurants. During the event guests can get 15% off their meal, with the proceeds going to the charity of the evening. The LRH Auxiliary has hosted this event for going on five years.
LRH Auxiliary president, Gail Clark states, “We are so pleased the 99 Restaurant in Littleton, NH will allow us to host this annual event. All of the money we raise supports a variety of programs, services and minor equipment needs at LRH. With events similar to this, we were able to give out $17,500 in scholarships in 2017 to area high school students and LRH staff who are enrolled in a health related career. This is just one way we support Littleton Regional Healthcare. The LRH Auxiliary purchases sweats for patients who appear in the emergency department so they have something to wear home. Last year, the LRH purchased wheelchairs so that there is always an extra wheelchair for patient who have difficulty walking. The LRH also supports the North Country Women’s Health Conference as on of the major sponsors.
If you or someone you know would like to obtain vouchers for the 99 Restaurant event to support the LRH Auxiliary, please email geninfo@lrhcares.org or call (603) 444-9304.
LRH Offers New Patient Care Services
Living with chronic conditions like diabetes, arthritis or depression is hard. Managing your health care can be stressful, but it does not have to be. Littleton Regional Healthcare is pleased to announce a new program to help patients stay on track between provider visits. This program will serve patients in the physician practices and Emergency Department.
The Outpatient Case Management Team will make a care plan for each patient. Together, they will set patients’ health goals. Each patient’s plan will be different. Care plans may include helping patients take meds at the right time and dosage, and keeping track of referrals and testing. Some plans may contain lining up support services in the community. Research shows that patients who are involved in setting their own health goals are more engaged in their health and wellness.
To learn more about this service, call Alyssa Presby, BSN, RN at 603-444-9582. Alyssa is the manager of the Outpatient Case Management Department.
